What is ESSKN?

We are a revolutionary platform that connects skilled and licensed estheticians (Skinicians) to ESSKN clients who are looking for exceptional skin care within the comforts of their home - it’s that simple.

What treatments do you offer?

Currently, we offer 4 types of unique facials and 12 additional add-on services. 

What will I need to provide?

We bring all the products and set up for our services, but we will need access to water, electricity, and two flat sheets for the facial table.  If you are having body treatments, be expected to have access to a shower.

Bookings

How do I change or cancel an appointment?

If it's more than 24 hours before your appointment, you can cancel or adjust your appointment by contacting us at info@esskn.com. Appointments in less than 24 hours cannot be canceled or rescheduled and will be billed at 100% of the service fees.

How do I book a group appointment?

You can book up to three facials on our app, but for groups of 4 or more, please contact us at info@esskn.com to discuss availability.

What if I have an issue with my booking or Skinician?

We are here to provide the best quality service; if there is an issue, please contact us immediately at Info@esskn.com.  We will respond promptly.

How often should I get a facial?

One facial can get great results, but where you can really see (and feel) a huge difference is with regular treatments. We recommend getting facials once a month as, on average, skin cells turn over about every 28 days.

Do and Dont’s before and after a facial

What should I do (or avoid) before my facial?

Be extra gentle to your skin for 48 hours before and after your facial, that means using a gentle cleanser morning and night, no exfoliation (retinols, scrubs, AHA or dermaplaning) , keep your skin hydrated by applying a moisturizer as needed, drinking lots of water and wear sunscreen to keep your fresh face protected.

Can I get a facial if I have a cold sore?

Because cold sores are very contagious, please avoid booking  a facial until the scab has fully shed and the skin behind it has healed -two weeks is recommended.

Can I get a facial after having Botox or other skin procedures done?

We recommend waiting two weeks if you have had Botox, fillers, chemical peels, or a skin procedure such as microneedling, microblading, dermaplaning, laser resurfacing, or laser hair removal before scheduling a facial.

Can I exercise, get lash extensions, and get back to my daily routine after a facial?

Our facials are very safe, so you'll be able to go right back to your activities. That being said, we don't recommend exercising immediately after facials in which you've received microdermabrasion or a peel.

Can I wear makeup right after a facial?

Feel free to apply makeup after a facial, but we recommend being extra thorough with sanitation to avoid undoing any of the benefits from your recent facial. Clean makeup brushes are always your friend!

How should I care for my skin after treatment?

After your facial, your skin will be left soft and plumped, to keep this lasting we suggest using the recommended products by your Skinician. No need to exfoliate since we take care of that during your service.

Other helpful tips:

-Wear SPF/big hat if you plan to be in the sunshine immediately after your facial.

-Wash your pillowcase/sheets.

-Clean your face towels/makeup brushes.

- Keep your skin hydrated by drinking lots of water.

-Skin purging may be expected, please avoid picking, popping or peeling.

Products

What type of products do you sell?

We have proudly tested and hand selected the best professional grade ingredients and currently carry products from Image Skincare, Glymed Plus, Living Libations and Green Envee.

What is your return policy on product(s)?

All orders are final sale. If you have any questions relating to the terms of sale, please email them to info@esskn.com before placing an order. If product(s) arrive damaged or if you received the wrong item, please contact us within seven days of receipt so that we can make it right.

When will my order ship?

Orders typically ship within 3-5 business days of placement. Please note that we do not process or ship orders over the weekend or on major holidays. Transit and delivery time may be extended due to inclement weather or general carrier delays and we are unable to completely guarantee a delivery date.

Can I change my order after it's placed?

Please email info@esskn.com as soon as possible if you need to make any changes to the items in your order or change the shipping address. We cannot guarantee order modifications once it has been placed, though we will do our best to make requested changes as needed. If the order has already been packed or shipped, we're unable to make any changes to it at that time.

What if my product(s) arrived damaged?

We're very sorry to hear that! Please take photos of the damaged product(s) and/or packaging and email us at info@esskn.com within seven days of receipt and we'll resolve it ASAP.

Payment and gratuity

What gratuity is appropriate for a facial?

Just like other service industry experiences, 20-25% is considered an appropriate gratuity amount. But of course, if you'd like to leave some extra love for a stellar experience, you're very welcome to do so.

What happens if I forget to check out?

If you forget to check out after your service, we'll process your credit card on file and automatically apply a 20% gratuity to your service.

Health and Safety

What types of things are important to tell my Skinician?

Let your Skinician know about your allergies, medications (both oral and topical), and any health conditions—even if they don't seem like they'd have to do with your skin. Also let them know if you have recently had any procedures (i.e. fillers, botox), surgeries, or if you are or expect you might be pregnant.

What is ESSKN’s health policies?

At ESSKN, we value the health and wellness services of Skinicians and our clients. Our Skinicians follow industry best practices including disinfecting equipment between appointments.

We adhere to federal, state and local directives surrounding the delivery of health and wellness services. If you have any special hygiene requests prior to the Skinician arriving for the appointment, please contact us info@esskn.com

Clients should reschedule their  appointment for a later date if they or a household member have any symptoms of illness.

Does ESSKN do a background check on Skinicians?

Each Skinician undergoes a mandatory criminal background check with continuous monitoring.

After booking an appointment, clients receive a confirmation with their Skinician’s name, photo and a short bio. A Skincian’s license number is available if needed by contacting us at info@esskn.com.
